Several spreading science media have reported the publication of a PhD-thesis performed by our colleague Bettiana Hidalgo, where she developed strategies to improve the functionalities of prostheses and implants. These strategies are based on obtaining advanced ceramic nano-coatings with antibacterial properties and with an adequate biological response.
